Trip planner comparison

Tripsy vs Wanderlog
vs NomadPoint

Three trip planners, what each gives you for free, and what each one charges for.
NomadPoint on iPhone: a shared trip timeline with each traveller's plans side by side

Short answer

Wanderlog has the more generous free plan and is the better pick for a group holiday, with maps, route planning and Android and web apps. Tripsy is the more polished iPhone app but puts email import, flight alerts and documents behind Pro. NomadPoint gives those free and is the only one of the three that tracks visa rules, Schengen days and passport validity.

Questions

Is Tripsy or Wanderlog better?

Wanderlog is better for most trips: its free plan includes unlimited trips, group editing and email import, and it runs on iPhone, Android and the web. Tripsy is better if you only use Apple devices and value a polished app, but email import, flight alerts and documents need Tripsy Pro at $59 a year.

Which is cheaper, Tripsy Pro or Wanderlog Pro?

Wanderlog Pro starts at $39.99 a year and Tripsy Pro is $59 a year or $299 lifetime, as of September 2026. NomadPoint Pro is $29.99 a year in the US, and most of what the other two charge for (email import, flight alerts, offline access) is free in NomadPoint.

Do Tripsy or Wanderlog track visas or Schengen days?

No. Neither app offers visa requirements, Schengen 90/180 day counting or passport validity checks on any plan. NomadPoint does all three for free, for the passport you hold.

What is a free alternative to Tripsy Pro and Wanderlog Pro?

NomadPoint is free to download and includes forwarding booking emails, flight delay and gate alerts, an offline trip plan and importing from Tripsy or TripIt without a subscription. It is iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch only, so Android users should look at Wanderlog's free plan instead.

Every trip. One timeline.
