Short answer

The best TripIt alternative for planning a trip rather than filing bookings is Wanderlog. For a more polished iPhone app, Tripsy. For flight alerts for less than TripIt Pro, NomadPoint, whose Pro is $29.99 a year and whose free plan imports booking emails and calendar events and tracks visa rules. TripIt itself is still the strongest email parser.
